Yes! I also thought it was complete rubbish until I found that you can enable 5.1. Go to the Bioshock.ini file and change the following line: Change SpeakerMode to this: SpeakerMode=SM_5_1 And add the following line after that one. SpeakerModeValue=5. On my setup it actually seems to be working in 7.1, more testing will have to confirm.
